Make Sure You Respond To Your Email
Bill Paris, MLS Technician
Email is quickly becoming as important as the telephone when communicating information
to possible clients and buyers. Industry studies show that consumers work with
the first agent that responds to their email. Furthermore, after 24 hours if
the email has not been answered by the agent, the contact is for the most part
lost and the consumer begins looking elsewhere. Some easy tips below will help
make email one of the most valuable tools available to you.
- Make sure you have the correct email address for your client.
Incorrect addresses will prevent you from getting across important
information.
- Email addresses are formatted USERNAME@DOMAIN.COM.
Unlike internet addresses there is NO HTTP:// or WWW in
the front of email addresses.
- Spam: No its not your favorite almost meat. It’s the word
used to refer to unwanted emails. To cut down on unwanted email, treat
your email address like your home address. You wouldn’t give
your home address willingly to telemarketers, so don’t provide
your email address to them by signing up for unreal offers or deals.
If it sounds too good to be true it probably is.
